Faith’s Story
Faith never knew her father, and her mother had been very sick since she could remember. One day, Faith was waiting in the hospital while her mother received treatment. But her mother disappeared.
Her mother was never seen again. Faith was only 3 years old.
Faith waited in that hospital for two days, hoping her mother would return. Eventually, her grandmother was located and came to get her.
Faith and her grandmother did everything they could to survive, but they struggled to meet even the most basic needs. Then a neighbor saw how desperate their situation had become and contacted Otino Waa Children’s Village. When a place finally opened, Faith came to live at Otino Waa in Uganda.
Today, Faith’s story looks very different. She has a home. She has a family. She has the opportunity to learn, grow, dream—and know that she is deeply loved.
And now, Faith has something to say about her own story.
