Fully Healed & Head of the Household

by | Sep 9, 2021

A couple months ago, we shared a story of a child who almost lost his leg after an injury lead to serious infection. Thankfully, our social workers were notified and our medical staff was able to intervene in time. Emmanuel’s leg was saved by Andrew and James, who are Otino Waa graduates and who now run the medical clinic.

Today, that little boy, Emmanuel, is completely healed! He went from almost losing his leg to being so strong and working in the garden to support his family. Right now, he is the leader of his family as his mom is sick. After his father died, the family was chased from their land.

During the COVID lockdowns, Emmanuel has taken on the role of provider. He digs in neighbor’s gardens to earn some income. He is also growing rice in the swamp for his family. He is praying for an abundant harvest. We delivered food to the family recently. These essential supplies will mean that Emmanuel won’t have to go dig as much and will be able to help with his 4 younger siblings.

We need to raise additional funds to supply food to our kids and their families.

Would you be able to give an extra donation this month to fight hunger for children like Emmanuel?
